Continuity of life

All living beings have the ability to reproduce, although not all of them do. Through reproduction, new individuals similar to their parents are produced. This function makes possible the continuity of life.

Continuity of life

Since we’re talking about normal bodily functioning, let’s go back to the most basic functions of life: gene replication and cell division. These are the processes that ensure the continuity of life and the reproduction of species.

Reproduction is an essential function of living beings that ensures their permanence over time. Through this process, cells are produced that develop to give rise to a new organism of the same species.
