Introduction

Write the following sentences on the board.

    • I was going to school.
    • She will be playing in the park.
    • You will be waiting for me in the garden.
    • He was eating a chocolate.
    • I shall be going for a walk.
    • You gave her a present.
    • She will be sewing her clothes.

Ask the students to identify the tense in each sentence.

Activity 1

Ask a volunteer who is a good actor to come forward.

Tell the student that it is an activity in which he/she will be

Acting / expressing his/her thought without speaking.

Situation

    • You will be washing clothes.
    • You will be drying your hands.
    • You will be dialing a number.
    • You will be talking on the phone.
    • You will be writing some information.
    • You will be putting the phone down.

You will be washing your clothes again

The student acts out the situation given below without speaking.

The rest of the class has to tell what the actor is doing. .

After every action ask students what the boy/girl is doing
