Lesson Planning of

Grade V
Students` Learning Outcomes
- Illustrate use of pronouns learnt earlier. Use the personal pronouns myself, yourself, yourselves, himself, herself, ourselves, themselves and itself.
Information for Teachers
- Pronouns re words that take the place of common and proper nouns, Pronouns are used in English to avoid repeating information that is already clear. In general it makes the sentence less confusing because the same information is not being repeated.
- A reflexive pronoun is usually used when the object of a sentence is the same as the subject. The reflexive pronoun can also be used to give more emphasis to the subject or object, as;
- I hurt myself.
- He shot himself.
- She cut her hair herself.
- She looked at herself in the mirror.
- Each personal pronoun (such as me, you, him, and her) has its own reflexive form. Reflexive pronouns end in “self” (singular) or “-selves” (plural). There are eight reflexive pronouns: as;
