ICT in Educational Research

The Usage of ICT in Educational Research

Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) changed the way we relate and interact in all areas of our life, the conventional modes of interaction of the social fabric modify the way we acquire knowledge, and a clear example is the contribution from ICT to Research. ICTs have made the processing and dissemination of scientific information much more effective, allowing research to be much more attractive for teachers and professionals; since it expands knowledge networks that are much more accessible to the academic community, through multiple information channels, especially the internet. Access to scientific articles is much more open after the rise of ICT in education, and although many of these are still found in private networks of universities and scientific centers, on the free web there are a large number of scientific documents for open consultation that allow enriching scientific work, and make it much more effective. In addition, it encourages feedback on research topics and the contrasting of results, contributing to the formulation of research projects that will have more impact in the field of study, avoiding repeating problems already studied, but making a contribution to them or others to be explored.

Likewise, it has allowed the strengthening of research networks, which are created and maintained in greater contact thanks to all the communication options that are available and whose access is easy and inexpensive. Access to these is increasing as the objective of institutional plans and programs inscribed in the globalized capitalist world. In this way, it is that the researcher’s work is much more benefited with the tools that ICTs provide to carry out his task; Inquiry instruments, software, pages, programs and an infinity of tools have come to make the access and processing of information much easier, resulting in verifiable and useful results in the research stages of the different academic areas.

TACs have changed the way people communicate around the world with great diversity, interaction, innovation and reach. These are being used more and more in all areas of our daily life (personal, business, work, educational, medical, etc.).Making good use of this tool, life is made easier every day.

For it is very important because there is not only one way of learning, but several and the teachers as students can make the necessary information for the teachings that we want to reach.Tic is a very good tool and I think it will continue to grow for our professional and personal growth.

Technology: are the techniques used to solve a problem by using equipment defined for the purposes and applying the appropriate knowledge.Technology always seeks to satisfy some needs, through data that is organized by coordinating knowledge and techniques until it improves the quality of life.

There is no doubt that current information and communication technologies (ICT) have modified the way in which scientific knowledge is recorded, published and used (electronic journals, databases, repositories, etc.). In general, the processes of dissemination and transmission of knowledge have become more agile. But scientific communication, in addition to the (contemporary) dissemination and (historical) transmission of information, has been fulfilling other functions: evaluation or justification of knowledge, consensus building among experts, and accreditation and recognition of researchers.

Very helpful! We must take into account that ICTs are very beneficial for teachers, professionals and students, when conducting research they are more accessible but we must be careful since it does not always provide us with feasible or reliable information, it has helped us a lot to develop our education and everyday life.
